| I own a few acres, farm grandmas on the half and rent 10 acres I'm paying 100 an acre for on crappy ground cause it's right next door. Only been farming 10 years but that rented 10 I let set 3 yeRs cause I was paying 80 and he wanted 85. It was a loosing proposition 2 out of 3 years. Anyway rewinding to 2012, I contracted corn at 7.30 ish in June and then in August at 8.30 ish and had less than 300 an acre in it. I made good money but now I have 350 or so in it at 3.50 a bushel. I have never made 200 bushel corn. Not even close. I guess I'm not gonna stick my neck out and be tired to make 10 bucks. The Wife and I both work full time to support my habit. Lol | |
