S Illinois | Couple of questions? What will precipitate this decline. On Sept 29, 08 the US Congress rejection of the bailout was the cause of the massive decline. Sept 17 2001 was the first trading day after the terroist attack.
Also did we skip a few iterations on these predictions? Sept 1994 was benign in the trading world and was actually the start of the major bull run in the 90's. Sept 1987 was nothing ordinary(was the timing just off and it really should have been Oct instead and black monday?) Sept 1980 had nothing of note. Sept 1973 was nothing special(were we off here again and it should have been Nov instead?) It seems like the old adage of sell in May and buy back in Oct maybe just as good of an indicator. | |
