NCIN
Knock on some Landlord's doors and explain that you know Farmer Brown is farming the place but if he would ever want to give it up, you would be interested. Most tenant's won't give it up but with the high rents being paid, there's bound to be some Landlords that get burned for lack of payment. Even tenants approaching some Landlord's about rent reductions can honk them off. Meanwhile, get a job in town to make sure you're financially sound when the opportunity arises.

I've done this with one of my neighbors. I know the situation and do believe the opportunity will come along before long. Problem is, with the price of grain, I don't think I would want it now.
