Does it really matter if it is 430 or 250 carry over. Did any end user run out of beans. It only matters to the ones that play the board. What matters the most is how many farmers are going to be able to keep crop in the bins after April or June. Look how many bushels that you have to move today to pay the same dollars back to the lender than you had to a year ago. As a grain buyer why should I pay up when I know that the farmer has to move a lot more bushels this year to cover his cost. Lets not worry what the board does. Let worry what the basis is going to do by April 16. China knows that they are putting the US farmer in a marketing bind. Unless you have really deep pockets your lender is going to want you to clean out the bins before they are going to advance any more funds for 16 and 17 crop inputs and rents. Your lenders are going to be forced to looking at falling assets and you wanting to sit on crop and borrowing more money. Your lenders remember the 80's very well.
