Clarke county, IA | That atleast makes more sense then what gets enrolled around here. Few years ago there was 1000+ acres enrolled within 4 miles of me. Part of this ground was suitable to crop and the rest of it would have made great hay/pasture, but instead it all got tied up for 10+ years of weeds and growing trees. Not to mention how much more money would have changed hands in the local economy if it had stayed out of the program. I'm sure about everyone can understand why I have such hatred for the program. | |
