Clarke county, IA | I wish they'd get rid of both. I'm a young farmer, 22 years old. Yes I have crop insurance, why would I intentionally do a practice that puts me at a disadvantage to the competition. Land around here that is in CRP could be raising hay or cows, part of each farm that's enrolled could be cropped but overall most of it would be better in hay or pasture. I wouldn't say these acres belong in CRP they'd be better off having hay or cows on them generating more income in the community. | |
