It does nothing of the sort!
As far as I can tell, this is just one man's guess that happened to mostly agree with market direction for that time; I call that coincidence. Certainly many others contributed equally valid guesses that did not agree. Anyone can produce a guess about market direction, and every guess has a quantitative probability of becoming reality. The important point is consistency of prediction with a consistently positive result.
