The sources I have show US origin beans at +.90 fob the gulf vs $1.40 from Brazil..  The US has a $.50 per bushel advantage BEFORE cheaper freight is added.

Why are we so cheap?

Seems like we could add a little here on a bounce off seasonal lows..  Last year we bounced to almost $11.00  ($10.86) by November from our September lows...

Rally cap time?

This brings up a question I have been wondering about for a while. If we have an advantage over SA in price it would have to come from basis wouldn't it? I mean I realize they have a futures mkt but I assume that their exports are priced off cbot? So any price advance on the board will do the same for them?
