cropsey, il 61731 | At some point we are considering making one more combine move (or not) and it would be to what many here thought was about the best combine CaseIH made as far as capacity (for what it is) and reliability. The 2188 we have is a big jump from the 1680 in operator comfort and the hp is really nice to, however I didn't get the tilting feeder house. We went to a 30' head last year and field tracker would be nice (btw, the 30' was cheaper at the time than the 25' heads).
How new would you guys go to get most of the 2188 to 2388 improvements? Seems like a pretty big price jump occurs in the 2000's and I wonder if that was crop price driven or adding stuff that may not be what I want (I can do my own guidance and YM). Any particular set of features that made the 2388 the one to buy back then?
