You can offset it by lower demand, but right now demand is high in the US and these lower prices are a big greenlight for people to drive more. The Chinese economy is slowing its growth, but demand should remain at least steady there. The rest of the world economy is a big question mark for demand. But unless we have another US-style Great Recession, demand for oil is really quite steady and increasing.
