| If you mention selling land in a time when there has been the greatest clamor to buy it in history people will get very nervous. Its a personal decision as well as a business decision. This might become a lot clearer to some folks as they get squeezed by the flipside of the great run of prices we have had. The biggest question I would have for the seller is can you sell it to the next generation and load some of the risk onto them and protect and insulate your own life and operation a little. If there is no next generation interested then this is a different conversation. I tell my kids to take the risks now and my operation will be there to fall back on. It's age and situation related and its a great decision for some. | |
