South Dakota
For what it's worth, my scouting in the elk ton area is showing early planted corn has little to no tip back but the stand is a little weak from the May frost. The later stuff has awesome stands but has about 3/4-1" of tip back. If I had to guess what I've seen for an average, 16.5X37. Stand wise, I've seen a range of 27-34. On a high note, the largest ears I have pulled via plants 5, 15, 25 random grabs were 20X38 and 18X44. I'm hoping yield makes up for market price here. If y'all in the east just want to plow your crops under, this second year farmer would appreciate it! Haha

Have a good night all!
