The 80's can't be replicated again unless we have 15% interest, and of course that won't happen again, no matter how much I want to see interest rates rise.

That and we don't have any politician as dumb as Jimmy Carter to embargo our grain like he did.



Sure it can.  Take 3-4% interest to 6-8%, and you will have nearly the same impact on the math as what taking 8% interest to 15-20% did back then. 


I guess I don't see how that is the same effect. One is an increase of 3-4 points ,the other is an increase of 7-12 points. Yes both doubled by which is a larger increase. Besides that I don't foresee a large glut of forced sales on the horizon.
