Ashburn, GA, (very close to Heaven!) | I have been using my laptop extensivley in the pickup since 2000, using it some since 1998. The biggest improvement was getting a moblie computer desk, www.jottodesk.com. More interet to you, I tell you the you will get a lot of improvement in an extended cab compared to conventional cab. Position the sun behind you in the extended cab and the display will be in a shadow.
It is actually better for me in the summer when the sun spends more hours of the day higher in the sky opposed to low on the horizon and in my face. When mapping and stuff, go to the shade or position the sun to your back (or under the towel, great idea) and do your heavy duty file setting up and saving, position the pointer over the start button, then proceed to the spot where you need to begin mapping and left click the touch pad.
You may have a low end laptop display. Have you tried the function key + brightness increase key combination? You may be able to turn it up. I turn mine back down at night. |
