yes, god save the "experts". cover crop experimentation is in full swing here, and there are many unknowns. with our short fall seasons, we are still trying to figure out the best mixes, application techniques, and timing. winter rye here would seem to be a slam dunk, but there are considerations here that don't seem applicable in other areas of the corn belt.
