![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=489&type=profile&rnd=858) Rolla, ND | Well, if that is really the stage, you can suffer significant yield loses.
I really can't in a case like yours walk in a field once and tell whether or not to spray.
The basic question is what is happening, how many are there and what are the numbers doing. Lots of things destroy aphids.
Once you hit the 250 number which is designed to give you a week to spray under conditions that favor the aphids. Then it gets to art. What is happening. Are there a bunch of mummies from fungal deaths? Are there a bunch of parasitized? Is the population of ladybugs and lacewings going to do the job for you? I don't know from your description and unfortunately, it doesn't sound like you do either.
So can't actually answer your question . Easy just to say you better spray, but that really isn't a correct answer. It isn't if you have 250 aphids spray, it's if you have that many be ready to spray and evaluate the field to see if you are going to get to a couple thousand before the plants mature. | |
