Timing of N is tough. Take 2009 for example, hindsight told us we needed our N applied late since anything put on early was long gone when the corn needed it. Then comes 2012, hindsight told us we should have had all our N on early because it forgot to rain the rest of the year. Sidedress was the worst thing that could have been done that year, HERE. What I'm saying is to use a program that leaves flexibility to account for both extremes. | |
