NEIN | I stand by my statement, most of the costs to the tenant are fixed regardless of the farms productivity so if two tenants with the same equipment farm two farms of differing production abilities the one with the lesser productivity must be worth less per bushel for both tenants to paid the same for their respective efforts. The bushels required to cover their costs are the same on both farms, thus the price per bushel must be less on the lower productive farm. Basic economics. Not to say that's how it works in the short run in real life. Goes with the old saying , poor farms rent to high and good farms rent just right. | |
