During three weeks in late summer of 2008 the Dow shed 3600 points. From high to low the decline clocked 33.8%.  This past weeks hiccup is nowhere in the same ballpark.

 For the "doom and gloomers" on here, I'm afraid they will have to wait a bit longer for their Armageddon.
