I have been at this game for over 50 years and I have never seen land sit black.

either the government straight out rented it CRP or they paid somebody to set it aside

There is no General sign up for CRP so it will be small odd shaped tracks of a couple acres each that get in and those that get it in will have to admit to it having some erosion or water run off issues, not the kind of thing landlords want associated with there land.

as per normal the biggest idler of land next year will be mother nature maybe she can pull another 4-5 ma out for the Farmer -- personally hope it's somebody else's PP has never been a profit center for me.
