1977 if I remember correct. Slick willy just put it on steroids in 1995. You are correct about learning from history. There is a huge lesson from that example. A lot of things from the heart seem like great ideas but there is a reason they don't work. In general poor people are poor for a reason and the rich are rich for a reason. Trying to manipulate that is like pissing in the wind. Obamacare, highly subsidized college, and back to subprime loans are examples of how we haven't learned from the past. I agree. Affords long housing act, Obama care, the injections were all huge mistakes that have gotten us here but not limited to just those 3 things. I blame a lot also on the unregulated stock market as well. Their was plenty of red flags and sirens before 2008 but the people in charge were making too much money to care. That upsets me more than anything! |
