Central IL | Most of the smaller to medium size farmers in this area out yield the BTO's for the reasons Clay mentions, plus more personal attention, better weed control, and better timing of planting and other field operations. As far as hybrid selection and smaller companies go, the smaller Agreliant companies consistently beat the big DeKalb and Pioneer brands in the replicated independent yield trials every year.
