KS and NE in eastern 3rd | One of the 1st thoughts that ran through my head was all the smaller farms in IA may have an impact on state yield. Seems to me when I travel the state I see small operations that are not using the most modern equipment. This leads me to believe that they are not using up to date farming practices. Maybe they are not pushing yields as hard. Also the only seed signs I seem to see are pioneer or a variety of small seed companies. That probably goes along with the small sizes farms cutting corners. If you guys would plant something that would yield and not fall over maybe you would be seeing new records this year. | |
