Subject: Yep. You pretty much have it pegged.


It is for certified seed production. It is perennial tall fescue. I plant on 18" spacings, but many other spacings are becoming common place. Some that plan on a very long term establishment, may even plant on 30" rows. The first year, the fescue will be only about 3-5" wide. I'm including a pic of a field that is about 6 harvests old.

Is'nt it amazing how different areas have different problems with volunteer crop matter. Here getting rid of the fescue is'nt much problem. Getting all other grasses out of the certified proprietary fields is.
