Life's but a walking shadow | Given the fact that we export 40 % of our soybeans, the majority of that to China, as well as the facts that the Chinese had already planned a substantial pork herd reduction and the uncertain state of the Chinese economy they are probably going to import soybeans only as they need & can afford them. This probably explains the slow export sales.
It is going to be hard to increase the price in this environment especially given the expectations of a ample harvest. But as Jon indicates, I can easily put all the beans I expect to harvest in my bean bin and wait at least a little while. That's assuming we make it to harvest. |
