Subject: Oxygenates in Gasoline

Thanks.

This article is dated.. published in 1998.. but a decent overview of the options for oxygenates in gasoline at the time and the relative capacities of some of these options.

We take for granted the CLEAN AIR and the HEALTH benefits that we enjoy today..  L.A. is ALOT CLEANER today.  We've already taken a lot of the nasty carcinogenic properties out of gasoline.. and ethanol has been a BIG PART of the SOLUTION.

Back in 1998.. it seemed daunting to build out the ethanol capacity that we have today.. thus dirtier more harmful solutions were considered.  Fortunately the US Farmer and the ethanol industry rose to the challenge and we live in a better cleaner world as a result.

jmho.
