Subject: RE: jd 9660 combine

Montana
I bought a 9760 a few years ago with real low hours but it had been sitting. I learned that the 9760 is almost the same as a 9660 but more powerful. I bought mine in the Moorehead Minn. area and had them go through it and put it in good working order. It cost me $3500 dollars to get it hauled to Montana and now I am going to cut way back on my farming so i am going to sell it.
I rented from machinery Link and ran several 9660 and 9670 and 9770 combines. I liked the simplicity of the 9660 and 9760 combines and it was my experience that they had more power than the 70 series.

There is some very nice creature features on newer 70 series like adjustable tail board and remote sieve and chaffer settings but I don't mind setting them outside.

I really really like the 9660 and 9770 combines and have found them to be very reliable and huge capacity. It is not even a load on my 9760 to cut 1300 bushel and hour of wheat if I have a good heavy stand. I really like the Straw chopper and the ease of opening up the back end if you wish not to chop straw. I have all kinds of thoughts and ideas about the 60 series and i think they are the best for the money.
OH Yes You want the Bullet rotor so the machine you buy needs to be 2006 or newer.
