The google aerial photo from 2012 really shows a lot in my neighborhood, very wet spring made lots of drownouts and then we burned up with no rain at all after July 1st. You can see on those maps taken in fall every drownout and every burnout spot for miles around.
Surprising how badly my neighbors field needs tile when I fly my drone, I never realized driving by on the road, but I have no designs on it. Nothing I couldn't see from the 2013 google map.
I presume the future of farm agronomy is the coops or bigger crop consultants will fly the county weekly with a drone, get the data for all the acres, and then sell it to those who wish to sign up for $5 an acre or whatever. Your farm will be data mined whether you sign up or not.
