Land of the Horizontal Snow Ontarios West Coast
I'm curious to know why they would be compensated as well? I had a dairy farmer tell me a couple of months ago that it would be political suicide if a government ever got rid of supply management, to my way of thinking there are less than 13000 dairy farms and less than 3000 chicken farms across the whole country ! When you consider how many ridings that is my guess would be it might only come down to affecting election results in a handful of ridings in Quebec and Ontario. I actually think if a party came out and said they were going to end supply management they would gain votes from the crop, beef and pork sectors.
