central sask | i also got a new as1010 this spring, 100 gals 90' boom, only have about 200 hours on it so far.
i really like our apache we have the trimbal ez-guide 500, ez-steer and ez-boom. that is the only was to go, i will never spray again without it, and the best thing is the systems have already paid for itself, not just because of all the chemical you save but from no crop damage.
to keep the front wheels lined up to should steer all the way to one side then you will see one wheel stop and the other keeps going until they are lined up and
you are right changing from 3 - 4 gear is not good, unless you are a like 1000 rpm.
one problem we had was some electronic system stopped working so you could not get the park brake off and the sprayer in gear, and this was when we still have 500 acres left in the day becasue it rained the next day. over all a good machine though !
