Huntington, IN | Well, we cut our first bit of soybeans last night and were able to give the grain grabbers a try. They don't work too bad out on the end of the auger but the closer they get to the throat the more they want to wrap and stir stuff up. It took us 1 round before removing one by the throat. Then it seemed to work pretty well. I would say for the most part they are going to be the ticket but a guy could save $50 and not order the whole kit, just 2 less than recommended. We only cut about an acre and a half just getting things set so didn't have a lot of time to study them but this is what I saw. This is running a 9410 with an older 920 head. BTW, the combine seemed to have a little more pep without the fillerplates in so that looks like a good move. | |
