I would wait until tassel as well for a fungicide app. If you must spray pre-tassel, make sure they are not using a surfactant or you can have arrested ear development and blunt ears, and end up losing way more than 25-30%. https://www.extension.purdue.edu/extmedia/BP/BP-85-W.pdf
