| I agree. I just don't understand the fascinations either. I'm 33 and never had much to do with them until the last year. My dad had an American Flyer set from the 50's that he took down when I was very small and I vaguely remember it. Fast forward to last year and we bought a house from a good friend/neighbor and she gave me her sons old Lionel set, also from the 50's. That sparked me to get dads old set out also. I have both the Lionel and American Flyer up and running as well as a cheap HO setup for my son. I have several operating cars and setups including a drum loader, stock yard, milk car, and Lionel helicopter reconasaince car. I haven't had time to mess with them since late winter and I can't wait to get back down in the basement to play again. It's addicting and could become a very expensive hobby. | |
