Subject: RE: Frosted Corn Update

North shore of Lake Ontario
There has been plenty of discussion up here about that "frost" event. The apple guys that watch cold weather like a hawk are claiming major yield reductions as there was no warm air layer above the ground to move down with the frost fans. All they did was move more cold around and create wind chill..I guess you could call this a cold event versus a frost event.
Be interesting to watch the tillage habits next fall! I for one will be delaying planting just a bit. That cold event was in the forcast but perfect growing conditions had the corn up and running very quickly. The later planting a guys are looking like wizards now.
