A lot of producers will max out their MP policies, then purchase a $400-500/acre on a hail policy, knowing if a hail storm wipes them out, they'll be covered for their inputs, plus some. I wouldn't ever count on getting wiped out by a hail storm. Some producers just buy one or the other as well.
