Mid Michigan - Saginaw area | We all have our cross to bear.
After emergence and early growth my main corn field looked great. I had to go out of state on business for 3 weeks. Came back to a total loss after 3 weeks of drenching rains. Yellow, stunted, lower leaves dead, most was barely knee high on the 4th, ponding, 70% + will not set an ear.
The tile machine finished up about an hour ago after 7 days of improving the drainage.
So besides losing my inputs this year I have to write a big check to him.
And then go till the remaining corn under.
Gawd, I love this farming. |
