Subject: Front-Mounted Booms

Watford City, ND
After reading some articles on fall spraying, my mind started wandering about all those big sprayer some people are running now-a-days. My question is, how well do the front-mounted sprayers work? Isn't there quite a little drift that you continuosly drive into? Seems to me that even on the calmest of days, at 40 lbs pressure I still can see some drift sitting above the wheat before it settles? How is it to operate a front mounted sprayer? The only one I've ever seen like that has been at Big Iron...so honestly I don't see any running around here, only 4720's and three or four Case-Ih's.

just curious,

thanks

marco
