Texas/New Mexico Stateline
My granddad worked hard and usually had a hired person to help with tractor driving.

I'm farming almost 3X the ground he did, and I do ALL the tractor driving, spraying, planting, mechanic work. Only at harvest do we team up with my Dad and use one combine and truck.

Much of that is thanks to modern bigger equipment and GPS. Sorry I don't know exactly what is so appealing about driving an old hot and noisy tractor from the 1960s working like a dog to get a 1/2 section farmed. If that is the way we were still farming the price of food would be about 5X what it is now.
