Tier 3 means its going to take more fuel. The hard fact of the matter is that with EPA guidelines engine mfg have to burn hotter and this takes more fuel. I know it makes no sense and i don't agree with it either but that is the way it is. I remember when the non- emmission 72XX magnums turned into Tier 1 Magnums at a certain point, the power went down and the fuel consumtion went up. Some day i think they will figure out a different way to meet emissions but for right now it stinks.
