Subject: Soybeans & pollinatiion

I know that soybeans are self pollinators and pollination supposedly is done before the flowers "open". There are studies out there that show significant yield increases when bees are used to assist pollination. My question is this....Is a guy therefor hurting yield potential when spraying an insecticide with a fungicide even tho the beans have or are flowering? Will a person be killing insects that assist pollination even tho they are supposedly self pollinated earlier? Don't think Japanese beetles are pollinators!
