I used the same 3/8 hose but wrapped it once around the boom and zip tied it. I also slid the hose inside a foot long half inch pipe and duct taped it to the bottom of the hose. When I didn't have the weight on the bottom the hose would ride up on the leaves of tall corn and burn it. Most of the corn won't make it to crop insurance levels but I couldn't face reality.
