When we have done this in the past, we spread 120 lbs of seed.

A bushel, average, 56 lb test weight, divided by .8, equals 70 lbs per cubic foot. Should be a chart on spreader to set based on weight per cu ft.

Put plenty on, hit with a field cultivator, lightly, leave rough and hope for a nice shower. Or if no rain in forecast, roller or packer after FC.
Used to put all of our beans in this way. But with the high cost of seed, went to a Kinze 15" row planter.
