Haven't seen any 71 units around for a very long time either. We had an old International bean planter with 185 units. The problem with it was that it was very time consuming to change seeding population on each row unit, doesn't the JD 71 unit have the same problem. We sold ours to a neighbor that needed parts for his planter. JD 7000 was a better planter design and cheaper to maintain.
