Use knockout wheels.
We plant 110,000 in April on good watered ground, 75,000 on dryland.
The research I've read says plant higher populations later because it doesn't tiller as well as early plant. I don't know though.
Spray for midge at 30% flowering if midge is a problem in your area. It is in ours.
