I think if you are north of I 88 then you missed most of the heavy rains. I left McHenry and went back to our farm in Milledgeville on Wednesday and around Rockford and SW look pretty good overall. Then I found I got the wrong fuel filter and had to make a road trip to Rochelle. I went over on 64 to 251 then south. Things looked good with some variablitly and a few pockets of poor. Coming back I went 38 west through Ashton, Franklin Grove, and Dixon. about 80% of that looked like crap. Yellow beans, short, stunted corn, and ponds in a lot of places. Our farm looks really good but wonder if the nitrogen will hold up through the year. The few wheat fields look really good but experience tells me we are due for one more storm with wind to flatten it.
