The corn is not getting much oxygen so it is stunted and yellow but I think the nitrogen is still there because you can see dark green corn over the tile lines.My corn has been in saturated soil for about a month now and how this affects it during tasseling and later will be interesting.My corn was all planted in April here in nw In.


Massive nitrogen loss occurs in saturated soils. Your nitrogen is still there over your tile lines because you greatly reduced the amount of time that area was saturated. When it finally does dry up those spots will most likely still suffer from nitrogen deficiency, right now the yellow spots are suffocating from lack of oxygen.

In my opinion those types of spots aren't helped much by adding additional n. They need tile to get the water away.
