I am between Mankato up to Hutch and out to Bird Island quite a bit, I'd say we are only a little bit behind 2012 at this point. Waaaay better than the last two years. And pretty damn good overall.
Thing to keep in mind, at this point in 2012 the water had pretty much shut off already. Especially south of 212... So, I'd think there's a chance for this crop to catch 2012.... Locally. Kinda feels like we are getting just the right amounts of heat and rain. Time will tell.
That is very true. 2012 soybeans were good but not great like corn. Just didn't get the August rains. I know this crop has excellent potential still. |
