Lincoln, North Dakota | Its just like any other government program. You have people that abuse it and people that actually need it. Where the plot thickens is to clean out the people that abuse it. I base it on the same as the guy that lives down the street from me he's on disability because he hurt himself at work. 5 years ago But yet I see him working on his classic cars in the evening when I get home from the farm. And actually right now as i write this is moving wheel borrows full of rock to his newest land scape project. Something is missing there. Same goes for prevent plant. Ive never claimed it. But if it was the difference between making a payment on something or not I probably would. If mother nature keeps you out of the field because of "act of god events". I have no problem. There always next year. If joe blow gets hurt at work thats what short term disability is. Its a income protection. So you can pay the bills while your out. And that's acceptable thing to do. just don't abuse it because that draws attention which usually is negative. I dont have a problem with most government programs as lon g as they are used for the intended purpose not abused. | |
