Mid-Michigan | Wow. I made a reply earlier and I truly hope things get better for op and all of you in floods and droughts. I have nothing to gripe about here where I live. Our crops are great. Some of this rhetoric does make me wonder. Are you paying too much for rent? Did you outbid others even though no matter how many times you tried to pencil things and it didn't work? Do you own too much iron (that you don't need). I see thing in farming as a long term deal. I'm not saying this is the case with original poster but for the last 5-10 years I have not been able to figure how guys are spending what they are and making it. Maybe time for a changing of the guard. Hope nobody loses they're farm but plenty of guys who came in second sitting with cash in hand.
