Scranton | I agree...with both sides...I tend to not want to throw in the towel...I've harvest 45 bushel beans planted on the 4th of July....summer of 2013 where we were going through what they are now.
There is no doubt crop insurance has affected how we farm....I sidedressed each of the past two years where all I did was save crop insurance money.
I think we just have to do the best job of farming we can while keeping the financial factors in mind. There is nothing wrong with deciding its not financially viable to put more money towards a crop. But my limits are I like to see something growing on any acre possible and I think it behooves us to do a good job of weed control regardless. | |
